An evening of classical music with Letchworth Sinfonia at their Summer Concert, 21 June 2025. Delight in the brilliance of Louise Farrenc, a trailblazing French composer and the only female professor at the Paris Conservatory in the 19th century, as we perform her Overture No.1 and Symphony No. 3 in G minor, Op. 36. Also, be transported by Sergei Prokofiev’s iconic Classical Symphony (No. 1), a timeless masterpiece brimming with elegance and charm. The evening will include the captivating Double Bass Concerto Op. 3 by Serge Koussevitzky, featuring the exceptional Jack Cherry in a stunning three-movement performance.
